Irkutsk Lake Baikal and Prairie Mongolian Undurshireet tour 8 days

Even in summer, the average temperature is 12 to 24 degrees. Tour the land of Siberia and Lake Baikal, a World Natural Heritage Site. Enjoy the unique cityscape of Irkutsk, board the Siberian Gulf Railway, and enjoy the great outdoors!

We will visit Vladivostok, the "Europe closest to Japan", which can be reached from Narita in about two and a half hours, Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world, and Irkutsk, the ancient capital of Siberia, using a round-trip direct flight from Japan. Feel the connection with Japan and enjoy the Siberian towns and nature with a nostalgic landscape.

Lake Baikal, which the locals call the sea, is unimaginably large. It is about 46 times larger than Lake Biwa, the largest in Japan, and 20% of the world's freshwater. I wonder if the surface of this large lake will be covered with more than 1m of ice in winter, and I am overwhelmed by the power of nature. It has the highest transparency in the world and is said to be the "pearl of Siberia." July-August is the beautiful season for wildflowers, and September is the beautiful season for yellow leaves. The lake, which was created in the rift of the earth 30 million years ago, nurtured a unique ecosystem. There are more than 1,500 endemic species that are currently certified. In early April, cute babies are waiting under the ice during the breeding season of the endemic Baikal seal. It's hard to meet nature, but you can meet Baikal seals at the Baikal Lake Museum.

Baikal Ring Railway @@Circumbaikal Railway Tour
The railway line on the shores of Lake Baikal, which was once used as the main line of the Trans-Siberian Railway, was partially submerged along the Angara River due to the construction of the dam. We have regular service. Enjoy a railroad trip on the shores of Lake Baikal while admiring the beautiful scenery that stretches beyond the tunnels scattered along the line. At the highlights, we also take time to stop, take pictures, and take a walk around the area. The departure point is Irkutsk station.

Irkutsk city tour

Lake Baikal Museum
The museum is open to the public at the Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Near the Baikal Hotel is a museum displaying materials on the flora and fauna and ores that inhabit Lake Baikal. The first floor has an aquarium, and the second floor has exhibits of earth science, biology, and ecology. It is the perfect spot to get a deeper understanding of Lake Baikal. You can also see Baikal seals and omuls in the attached aquarium.

Kirov Square

It is a park named in commemoration of the revolutionary Kirov who spent a year here from 1908. Surrounded by buildings such as the Irkutsk Oblast government, churches and linguistic colleges, the center of the square is a place of relaxation for the citizens with a beautiful fountain.
It has long been the center of Irkutsk and the oldest part of the city. Spasskaya Church and Bogoya Brenier Temple are nearby. In the old days, it was called "Kremlin Square" because there was a Kremlin (fortress) nearby. In winter, it is decorated with a Christmas tree and decorated with various ice sculptures.

Bagayavryensky Basilica
The Bagayavryensky Basilica is located next to the Khram Vo Imya and is one of the oldest churches in Irkutsk, built in the late 17th century. Despite being hit by large earthquakes and fires many times, it has maintained its appearance until now. It is also famous as the largest church in Irkutsk and is a popular spot visited by many tourists.
The highlights are the frescoes and icons inside the church. It was used as a confectionery factory during the Soviet era, and it was restored over 18 years after perestroika.

Irkutsk Folk Museum
Opened in 1782, it is one of the oldest museums in Russia. It was burnt down in 1879, but was rebuilt in its current form in 1891. From the Paleolithic era before the construction of Irkutsk to the present, there is an "exhibition on history.
The tableware, folk costumes and toys of almost all minorities living in Siberia are exhibited, and especially. As a valuable resource, written materials on Russia's advance into Siberia in the 17th century are preserved, and the number of exhibits currently exceeds 300,000.

Spasskaya Church
The oldest church in the city center, it is a Russian Orthodox church with beautiful white walls and a green dome on the north side of Kirov Square, built in 1710. It is the second oldest stone building built in Irkutsk and the oldest existing stone building in Eastern Siberia.
The bell tower was expanded from 1850 to 1860. At the beginning of the 19th century, not only the interior but also the exterior was decorated with frescoes. The militias of Irkutsk, who participated in the Napoleonic Wars of 1812, prayed at this church and headed for the front lines. It is now a vomiting sensation and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Russia along with the adjacent Bogoya Brenier Temple.

130 tourist attractions in Irkutsk
Even in Siberia, traditional wooden buildings remain in Irkutsk. This 130 district is an area that reproduces the old Irkutsk where shops, cafes and restaurants that imitate the architectural style are lined up. Start with the "Bubble Statue", which is also the city emblem, and finally walk to the busiest Mall Kubaltar.
This 130 district is redeveloped from 2008 to 2011 to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Irkutsk municipal organization, according to the materials. The old townscape that originally existed from the beginning of the 18th century has been reproduced.

Undurshireet stepp

This is the best course to experience the majesty of the Mongolian steppes! We will give you a new impression that you cannot experience on a normal trip. Please enjoy the "real horseback riding tour" that can only be done by a Mongolian local travel agency specializing in horseback riding.
Undur Silet is a campsite in the best location, 200 km southwest of Ulaanbaatar, halfway between Karakorum and on the banks of the Tula River, which runs through the prairie.
Its beauty is clear from the fact that it was selected as the filming location for the movie "White Horse" directed by Makoto Shiina and the CM for Kubota. This campsite is a campsite with special permission from the village of Undursiletto, so there are no other campsites around. There are no other facilities, town lights, or electric wires, so it's perfect for seeing the stars in the sky!
Indeed, the Undur Silet Tourist Camp occupies the surrounding prairie. The Undur Silet Riverside Campground is owned by a Japanese woman who is married to a nomad. Since it is overseas, there is an idea that it is a local owner, but considering that you can enjoy a fulfilling activity, Japanese owners who can not only speak Japanese but also have good service in itchy places are more relieved. You can enjoy it.
