Fly from Narita International Airport to Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy the flight. After arriving, a local English-speaking staff member will meet you. After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, we guide you by car to your Ulaanbaatar city hotel.

After breakfast, shopping at Nomin Department Store. We guide you by private car to Undurdov on the grand steppe (about 1 hour). After arriving: horse riding experience. Even complete beginners are safe with a led horse. Practice riding around the camp while carefully learning how to handle and ride horses from an English guide and riding staff.

On the way, visit a nomad's ger. Learn how cheese is made and drink airag. Return to the camp. * At night, stargazing under a sky full of stars in the lightless desert (weather permitting)

What is the Undurdov Grand Steppe? All around is steppe as far as the eye can see, a very wide and quiet place. Although it is close to the capital Ulaanbaatar, it gives no sense of that at all. Sandals are provided in the gers where you stay, and the showers and toilets are at quite a clean level for Mongolia. The restaurant is clean too. 40 minutes from Chinggis Khaan Airport. The tourist camp is 42 km south of Ulaanbaatar (Central Province), located in a place of beautiful nature filled with fresh air where body and mind are refreshed and energized. Our tourist camp can accept 120 guests per shift, and is fully equipped with facilities and supplies so that tourists can stay comfortably. The modern restaurant has a hall where meetings, weddings, seminars, dances and other events can be held, and Western-style individual toilets for men and women, hot and cold water, showers and more are provided. Delicious high-quality (cold) and (warm) Mongolian and European dishes cooked by professional cooks, as well as cold beer and juice of Mongolian brands, are also served.

  • If one person uses a room alone, an additional charge of $40 per night applies.
  • At tourist camps, rooms (gers) are normally shared by 2–4 people.
  • If you use a tourist camp ger as a single, an additional charge of $25 per night applies.
  • An English-speaking guide stays with you throughout, and a professional licensed driver is arranged.
  • The vehicle is a private vehicle suited to the number of people: sedan, minibus, 4WD, etc.
  • Meals: as stated in the itinerary (standard three-course meals)
  • Sightseeing and meals may change due to local conditions such as weather or flight delays.
  • We also accept requests for additional arrangements such as extra nights, a private guide or a private car, and for hotel specification or upgrades.

Operating conditions and notes

Booking deadline

For tour bookings, please book at least 15 days before departure (excluding public holidays). If a booking is made after that, we will first reply to you by email to confirm that we can reach each other reliably before we start the arrangements. Bookings 7 days or more before departure will be accommodated as far as possible, so please consult us. (Cancellation charges start from 10 days before, so please note.) Please check the usage guide before booking.

Price notes

This course operates from 2 people, but we can accept a booking for 1 person. In that case an additional charge for a one-person departure and a single-room supplement apply. Please ask us for the price of a one-person departure before booking.

Payment method

After you reserve by email and phone, we will send a travel confirmation and an invoice to your email address. After checking the invoice, transfer 50% of the tour price to our bank account. The booking becomes official after we confirm receipt. The remaining 50% is paid by bank transfer before the trip starts.
